Fluorotron(TM) Master Model FM-2 with Dell Computers

The Model FM-2 stores the entire four-digit year, so the Fluorotron software is Year 2000 compliant.

However, Dell reports that there may be problems with the transition to the Year 2000 on certain Dell models. Dell has prepared patches and/or BIOS updates to addresses these possible issues.

To find out about your particular model access the Dell Website. You will need the Service Tag Number found on the back of your computer. Please note that one of the fixes instructs you to install FIX2000.EXE on your computer. FIX2000.EXE is actually a self-extracting file that contains FIX2000.SYS. You must run it to obtain FIX2000.SYS. This SYS file is the file that should be saved. Access the Dell Website here

Microsoft reports that the Windows Explorer in Windows 3.1 may garble dates from the year 2000 and beyond. A patch for this problem may be obtained from Microsoft. Please note that the file that you need to download for Windows 3.1 is W31y2kup.EXE. Access the Microsoft Website here.
